I’ve done quite a bit of research on a video game exercise bike kids will actually enjoy.
I’ve read all sorts of reviews from parents and there are a few to choose from.
The whole point of having one of these is because they are fun to use and kids can get some great exercise in no matter what the weather is like outside.
Children enjoy playing video games anyway so why not let them play a game and keep their legs moving at the same time!

Most parents want their kids to participate in activities the kids can reap benefits from. If they are going to play organized sports then we want them to do it for the right reasons and really get something out of it.
If my kids are going to play video games they might as well enjoy these benefits while riding a bike:

- Further develop gross motor skills
- Increase muscle strength
- Helps relieve mental stress
Those are just a few benefits your kids will receive when exercising on a stationary bike. I’ve preached over and over the importance of fun kids exercises and this is one more to put in your playbook.
Choose Your Video Game Exercise Bike Kids Can Use For Years
I read one parent’s review and she basically said you get what you pay for. I have found that to be so true over the years no matter what you buy.
You don’t want to buy a piece of junk just because it’s cheap. Trust me, I would prefer not spending hundreds of dollars on something like this but then I have to think about the benefits again.
No, I also don’t want something that will collect dust either. Here is what I came up with for you.
- Game Rider Gaming Bike and System- This one is on the more expensive side at $458.11 but it is the best one bar none. It’s fun, fast and perfect for the whole family.It’s the most high quality bike and video game software available. You also have a choice of hundreds of games. Make sure you watch the video on their page.
- Cyberbike Magnetic Edition- This one works with the Nintendo Wii and is a little more affordable at $172.34 but it didn’t receive too many favorable reviews. I’m listing it because I want you to have all the choices in front of you.This one also comes with several different games and seems fun for kids, but you might want to read the reviews before considering this option.
- Fisher-Price Smart Cycle- This one is designed for smaller kids and really looks fun. It not only teaches fitness but numbers, colors, letters and shapes. It has received great reviews and is for children ages 36 months – 6 years.
An alternative option would be to use something like the 123GOTV by KidExerciser. This is a really cool option where you hook up your child’s bike to a special bike stand in the living room which connects to your TV by a wireless receiver and the only way the TV works at all is for your child to peddle.
If they stop peddling then the TV turns off. How cool is that! It’s $199 but they are offering a 20% discount currently.
