Kids Exercise Balls Are Great Addition For Home

By Jeff

kids exercise ballMost of the benefits of kids exercise balls are the same as the adult ones with a few exceptions. They are a perfect resource to have at home and will also provide lots of fun day or night.

Each of the balls I’m going to review have a different purpose, but overall your child will get some cardiovascular exercise, improvement with gross motor skills, muscle strength and endurance.

Different Types of Kids Exercise Balls

GoFit 65cm Professional Stability Ball – This is just like any other stability ball. It will actually benefit both you and your child. Kids of all ages can use this in some form or fashion.

It is great for doing situps, pushups, stretching and balancing. My kids play on our stability ball any chance they get!

Gymnic Yellow Hop Ball – 45cm – This particular hop ball is for children ages three to five and promotes coordination, balance, circulation and cardio fitness.

Gymnic 22-Inch Hop Exercise Ball – This ball is for ages six to eight and has the same health benefits for kids as the Gymnic hop ball.

Gymnic / Hop-55 22″ Hop Ball, Metallic Blue – This ball is for kids ages six and older and again shares the same cool benefits for health as the two previous items.

j/fit Kids Aerobic Spring Ball – This ball is very much like a balance board in that you really have to use your balance to stay on. These are perfect for coordination, balance and building the core muscles around the mid-section.

You can also use it as a mini trampoline and get a great little workout in.

Valeo Medicine Ball – There are so many things you can do with a medicine ball. You can bounce it off hard surfaces, toss it in the air, throw it back and forth with someone and even use it for pushups if you are in the advanced group.

It helps with core strength and can improve coordination, balance and endurance. You can get this ball in different colors and weights.

Kids Exercise Balls Are of the DIT Variety

As parents we sure are busy, aren’t we? Having one of these in the home is a great tool to place in the DIT or Do It Themselves category.

Depending on their age, they can use most of the exercise balls listed above on their own once showed how to use them properly. The more avenues we provide for our children to exercise the better!

I don’t know if I’d buy one of these for a birthday or Christmas gift, but these kids exercise balls would make a great gift any other day!
